Auggies close season with loss to Pointers

STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Leila Klym (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) scored two goals to lead the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team in its final game of the 2025 season, an 18-3 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Pointers scored the first nine goals of the game, taking an 11-1 lead into the halftime break. The Pointers outshot the Auggies by a 40-12 margin, and had 21 ground balls to Augsburg's 17. The Pointers claimed a 21-3 advantage in draw controls in the game.
• Klym claimed two goals on five shots, and added two ground balls on the night. Eleanor Flynn (JR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) assisted on Klym's first goal.
Veronica Lopez Nash (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) scored a goal with a ground ball and a caused turnover.
Annie Fest (SO, Heron Lake, Minn./Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda HS) had three caused turnovers and two ground balls, and Melanie Delestrez (JR, Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens HS) had three caused turnovers and a ground ball.
Isabella Kohout (JR, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had three ground balls, and Maecee Alexander (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) had a caused turnover and a ground ball.
Nicole Schuster (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had 17 saves in goal, adding six ground balls.

FOR THE FOES
• Aubrey Keeping scored five goals with two ground balls and four caused turnovers, and Barrie Bahr scored five goals for UW-Stevens Point.
