EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- The Augsburg University women's lacrosse team opened play in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 27-2 loss at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon.

• The Blugolds scored the first 16 goals of the game in a 24:36 span before
Veronica Lopez Nash (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) scored Augsburg's first goal.
Ashley Kong (SR, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) scored in the second half for the Auggies.
• UW-Eau Claire outshot Augsburg by a 57-5 margin, with a 31-4 advantage in shots on-goal. The Blugolds had a 27-5 advantage in draw controls.
• Lopez Nash had two draw controls in addition to her goal, and Kong also added a draw control.
