MINNEAPOLIS -- A program-record 18 Augsburg University women's hockey players -- the most among all NCAA Divisions II/III women's hockey teams nationally -- were honored for their success in the classroom and on the ice, being named as American Hockey Coaches Association/Krampade All-American Scholars, it was announced recently.

To earn the All-American Scholar honor, student-athletes must achieve a 3.75 grade-point average or better in both semesters of the 2022-23 school year, while playing in at least 40 percent of a team's games (exceptions made for injured players and backup goalies). A total of 945 hockey players from Divisions III and II programs (513 men, 432 women) were honored as 2023-24 All-American Scholars.

Over the nine-year history of the award, Augsburg has now had 108 women's hockey honorees. Eight Augsburg women's hockey players earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in 2024-25, as sophomores, juniors or seniors achieving a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better.
