GAME RECAP
Augsburg opened the first half with a quick start as Keenan Rodriguez hit a fast-break 3-pointer assisted by Hanif Muhammad at 19:14 to establish an early lead. Despite this, the Auggies faced a challenging stretch with Carleton gaining momentum, particularly through Matt Drake's consistent scoring. The visiting team managed to stay competitive with contributions from Isaac Rabaey, who scored key layups, and effective rebounding from Elias Batala and Muhammad. Batala, who scored in double figures for the 16th time this season and cleared the 20-point scoring plateau for the seventh time, played a pivotal role. However, the Knights' superior shooting efficiency and timely 3-pointers allowed them to pull ahead. The half concluded with the Auggies trailing 41-28.

Augsburg University mounted a strong comeback in the second half, outscoring the Knights 53-44, but fell short in an 85-81 defeat. Hanif Muhammad contributed with a crucial three-pointer at 9:32, marking the 10th time he has scored in double figures and third time in a row. Elias Batala led the charge with multiple scoring plays, including a key layup at the 10-second mark to narrow the gap. With 15 points, JJ Semanko scored in double figures for the 18th time in his first 20 collegiate games.

Keenan Rodriguez, scoring in double figures for the second straight game, contributed a last-minute 3-pointer with six seconds left, assisted by Muhammad, keeping the Auggies within striking distance. Despite the late rally, the Knights secured the win, highlighted by Engelberg's free throws in the final seconds.
