HOW IT HAPPENED
The Auggies faced early pressure and fell behind when Bailey Coole scored for the Saints at 13:30. Auggie goalkeeper Claire Smothers made four saves in the half, and the Auggies kept the margin at 1-0 through a Saints attacking stretch from 16:44 to 27:03. The Auggies generated chances after the goal, including a saved shot by McKenna Nachreiner at 22:18, but went into halftime trailing 1-0.

The Auggies erased a 1-0 deficit in the second half, with Nachreiner scoring at 62:15 off Lennon Folstad's assist and again at 70:40 with assists from Ciara Cross and Eliza Cory. Nachreiner's first goal came on a blast from the top right corner of the 18-yard box, off a feed from the middle by Folstad. Her second goal came following a solid three-way passing play, starting with Cory to Cross, who found Nachreiner for a rising shot to the top left corner of the goal. The Auggies had generated six shots and a corner before the equalizer, then added Kaidin Camp's goal at 84:57, firing a corner kick that deflected off the St. Scholastica goalkeeper at the left edge of the goal. Smothers made three saves after the Auggies went in front as they closed out the 3-1 final.

Nachreiner scored two goals, including the game-winner, and finished with six shots and three on goal. Nachreiner claimed her second multi-goal game of the season and fifth of her collegiate career. Smothers made seven saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal. Lennon Folstad recorded an assist and led the Auggies with seven shots. Kaidin Camp added an unassisted goal and put both of her shots on frame.
