HOW IT HAPPENED
Caleb Ibarra put Augsburg in front at 13:05, finishing off assists from

Asher Johnson to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Earlier, Gustavus generated the first corner and two early shots, but the Auggies answered with
Asher Johnson's saved shot and a corner before breaking through. Augsburg kept pressing after the goal, with
Gio Casias forcing another save and Johnson adding two more attempts before the midway point of the half. The Gusties pushed back late in the half with several attacking actions, including a
Finnur Mercier save at 26:46 and three corners between the 28th and 42nd minutes, but the Auggies held the shutout and took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG COACH GREG HOLKER
"A point on the road in the MIAC is never a bad thing, but we feel we let the win get away from us. On both ends of the field, we struggled to make the right decisions today and that's why we are sharing points. We created plenty of chances to win it, and we gave them chances as well."
"Unfortunately, I don't think anyone had a standout day. There were a lot of 5's and 6's on the field. Good, but not doing quite enough to be impactful. I do think Remus got much better in the second half and that was something of note."
"We are excited about the Twin Cities Marathon tomorrow morning. We will be at mile marker 19 on the Franklin Avenue bridge so any and all are welcome to join us. We will be there from 9:45-11:45 a.m., cheering on the runners, especially any Auggies (like Jorge Radilla!). Good luck to all that are running!"
