However, Saint Mary's responded with three goals, with Joona Juntunen, Ben Polomsky, and Jack Campion each finding the net, taking a 3-2 lead by the close of the period.

Augsburg gained momentum in the second period with a power-play goal from Parker at 16:59, his ninth goal of the season, assisted by Zachary Reim and Ryan Comishock. Parker finished the season with nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points in 15 games, having missed 10 games midway through the campaign due to injury. Despite multiple attempts from Saint Mary's, Augsburg goaltender Josh Koziol was active throughout the period, making several saves against persistent shot attempts by Saint Mary's, including a key save on Juntunen's shot near the end of the period.

Augsburg faced a challenging third period as Saint Mary's surged ahead to secure a decisive victory. At the 8:49 mark, Campion netted the eventual game-winning goal for Saint Mary's, assisted by Carter Newpower and Cole Mickel, extending the home team's lead. Paden Hicks added a power-play goal at the 11:18 mark, again assisted by Mickel, to make it 5-3. In the final minutes, Campion completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal with 01:10 left before Adler Johnston sealed the result with a goal with 54 seconds left to play.
