
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University men's basketball player
Julien Hussherr (SR, Strasbourg, Alsace, France/Episcopal Saint Etienne HS) was named to the Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday. Hussherr, a business major with a 3.63 grade-point average, earned the academic honor for the first time in his career.
Playing in all 27 games (four starts) for the Auggies this season, Hussherr averaged 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes played per-game as a point guard. He connected on 18 three-pointers this season, and added 39 assists and 13 steals. He scored in double figures twice this season, 10 points against Saint Mary's on Feb. 11 and 12 points against St. Olaf on Feb. 14.
Hussherr played two seasons for the Auggies after spending his first two seasons at Illinois Wesleyan University. He played in 53 Auggie games (29 starts) in his career, averaging 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 20.5 minutes played per-game, with 106 assists and 30 steals. He connected on 35 three-pointers in his career.

Aaron Griess, Augsburg finished 17-10 overall and 9-7 in MIAC play in 2025-26, earning a spot in the MIAC playoffs for the 11th time in the last 13 full seasons.
The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the
CSC Academic All-America program. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
