Augsburg attempted to swing the momentum in the fourth inning, led by Pilon's impressive grand slam homer that narrowed the gap to 13-5, thanks to singles from
Paityn Pagenkopf and
Jayden Evenson, along with a hit-by-pitch to
Jaime Olson. However, the Auggies could not overcome the early deficit as Carleton maintained a steady scoring pace.

Carleton's momentum emerged strongly in the second inning, fueled by a series of productive at-bats. In the third inning, Carleton extended its lead with another six-run burst, highlighted by Paez's triple and Sydney Trentman's sacrifice fly.
