MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University faced a challenging doubleheader against Macalester College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball action at Edor Nelson Field, suffering a 7-5 loss in game one followed by an 18-0 defeat in five innings in game two. Despite some offensive highlights, the Auggies struggled to keep pace with the Scots, who showcased a powerful batting lineup.

GAME 1 RECAP
In game one, Augsburg started strong, taking the lead in the second inning thanks to
Teron Ormond-Miller's two-RBI double, which brought home
Mckenna Haug and
Nikolina Opp. They extended their lead in the third inning with a solo home run from
Lola Pilon, putting the Auggies ahead 3–2. However, Macalester's decisive four-run sixth inning, highlighted by Martha Miller's three-RBI double, shifted the momentum and secured the Scots' victory.
Augsburg's
Brooke Laier pitched a complete game, going 7 innings with 9 hits allowed and 7 earned runs, while striking out 3 batters. On the offensive side,
Lola Pilon led the team with three hits, including a home run, and contributed one RBI.

Kayla Shaffer and
Olivia Grefe each recorded one hit in the game, but the Auggies were unable to generate any meaningful offensive pressure.
