Laier struck out 11 batters, showcasing control despite allowing 11 hits and 10 earned runs. She issued two walks and hit one batter, conceding one home run in the loss, marking her record at 4–14.

Megan Gissler tallied three hits, including a home run and a triple, while also scoring two runs. Nikolina Opp drew two walks and stole three bases, contributing to the team's offensive efforts. Kayla Shaffer added a home run, contributing to her two-hit performance with one run scored and one run batted in.

The Saints' decisive sixth inning turned the tide, with Katelyn Hackman's two-RBI single marking the key moment, driving in the go-ahead runs. Augsburg University's defense struggled to contain the late rally, giving up three runs in the inning to fall behind 10–8.

Earlier, the Auggies showed resilience, erasing a four-run deficit from the first inning. Pilon played a pivotal role, launching a three-run homer in the sixth inning to momentarily capture an 8–7 lead. Gissler contributed with a solo homer in the seventh, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Augsburg capitalized on speed to create pressure, with Mckenna Haug and Opp both stealing home in the second inning.
