HOW IT HAPPENED
Eliza Cory scored the equalizer for the Auggies, converting a penalty kick with 2:32 left in the game. The Auggies earned the penalty kick when McKenna Nachreiner was fouled by the North Park goalkeeper in the penalty box on a breakaway, resulting in a red card for a denial of a goal-scoring opportunity.

The Auggies held North Park scoreless through an early stretch of pressure, with Claire Smothers saving shots at 13:18 and 17:11 as the Vikings generated multiple looks. North Park broke through on Emilie Østlyngen's goal at 31:49, then added a second at 42:44 when Lily Cerjak scored off Maja Applequist's assist.

A late 2-0 deficit turned into a 2-2 finish for the Auggies, who got a 79:12 goal from Kaidin Camp off assists from Nachreiner and Charlotte Sussman. Augsburg's first goal of the season came when Camp finished off a pass across the penalty box by Nachreiner, after a solid through ball from Sussman. Smothers helped keep Augsburg within reach with four second-half saves as North Park continued to generate chances.

Smothers recorded seven saves over 90 minutes, with three stops in the first half and four in the second. The team has achieved at least seven saves in two consecutive games. Cory scored an unassisted goal on her only shot, putting the attempt on frame. Camp also scored on her lone shot on goal. Sussman and Nachreiner each tallied an assist and added one shot.
