High School: Participated in wrestling, football and baseball at Belle Plaine HS...Was a two-time letter winner in football and a three-time letter winner in baseball...Was 2007 state tournament champion in wrestling (Class AA 135)...Was a two-time state tournament placewinner (Class AA 125 third place in 2006) and a three-time state tournamnet qualifier (also Class AA 112 im 2005)...Ranked no. 18 in Wrestling USA Magazine list of 2007 Nation's Best High School Juniors at 135...Listed in "151-200" section of Intermat Top 200 Recruits listing for 2008...Earned Guillotine Academic All-State third team in 2008...Was USA Wrestling Junior Freestyle All-American (seventh place at 140 in 2008)...Earned school's Outstanding Male Student-Athlete award...Member of National Honor Society and Math Club.
