2014: Appeared in ten games...Recorded nine tackles.
2013: Appeared in six games... Recorded 11 tackles and one forced fumble

2012: Derek played in eight games where he recorded seven tackles and forced one fumble.

High School: Participated in football and baseball at Totino-Grace HS... Was football team captain, earned three letters, and won state championship twice... All-Conference honorable mention in baseball.
