2021-2022: Played in 24 games, starting all 24... Earned MIAC Honorable Mention honors... Averaging 11.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 1 steal per-game... His assist average was 7th-best in the MIAC, with his 68 assists ranking 7th-best as well, and 25 steals tied for 15th-best... His 74.1% free-throw percentage was 11th-best in the MIAC... Became the 24th Augsburg Men's Basketball player to reach the 1,000 career-points mark.

2020-2021: Played in seven games, starting all seven... Finished on the team in points per game with 14.6, Free Throw Percentage with 93.3%, Assists with a total of 27 and an average of 3.9 per game, and Steals with a total of 13 and an average of 1.9 per game... His 93.3% Free Throw Percentage was second in the MIAC, while his 1.9 steals per game were third in the MIAC... Shortened season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

2019-2020 Basketball: Played in 20 games, starting all 20... Earned All-MIAC Second Team Honors... Averaging 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per-game.... His scoring average was 15th-best in th MIAC, with his 80 assists 10th-best and 27 steals 14th-best... His 44.2-percent three-point shooting average (46-of-104) was third-best in the MIAC... He scored in double figures in 13 of his 20 games played this season.

2018-19 Basketball: Played in 27 games, starting all 27... Led the team and was second in the MIAC in assists with 132... His 132 assists were the second most in a single season in school history... Finished second on the team in steals with 27, rebounds with 150 (5.6rpg), and free throws made with 74... Finished third on the team in points with 301 (11.1ppg), blocks with eight and a free throw percentage of 81.1%... Finished third in the MIAC with an assist to turnover ratio of 2.9... Received All-MIAC Third Team Honors.

2017-18 Basketball: Played in 29 games... Scored 141 points (4.9ppg), with a season high of 15 against Hope College (3/2)... Had 21 steals, 37 assists, and 68 rebounds on the season. 

High School: Played basketball at Rogers HS where Matt played varsity basketball junior and senior year. All conference his senior year, back to back conference champs, section runner-up his senior year. Team MVP, highest free throw average in a season and career. Matt also played soccer for Rogers HS.

Career Goal: Work for a professional sports team. I love sports too much to give up and want to continue my career in sports even if i'm not playing.
Why did I choose to attend Augsburg? I like the how close everyone here is and how inviting the coaches and teammates were. I also chose it because I really like the cities. 
Athletic Goal at Augsburg: Before I graduate, I want to help the team win the regular season championship or the playoff championship to get a automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.  I would also like to reach 1,000 career points.
Biggest Thrill in Athletics: Making it to back to back conference playoff finals.  Winning the playoff championship my freshman year and making it to the national tournament.
Any interesting, non-athletic hobbies, talents or unusual facts about yourself? I am a member of a club at the University of Minnesota which is Uvolunteer.  It is a club that comes together to help out the community through various projects.  We have helped clean up campus, help a sock collection month to donate socks to shelters, created hygiene kits for the homeless and many more.
Any other personal tidbits? Looking to have a comeback year after tearing my MCL my Junior year.
