Auggie Athlete FAQs
Career Goal: My goal is to get under a minute in my 100 fly, get a few school records along the way, and place at the MIAC Championships!
Why did I choose to attend Augsburg? I chose Augsburg because I love Minneapolis, I love how inclusive Augsburg is, and that Augsburg offers film as a major!
Athletic Goal at Augsburg: My athletic goal is to step outside of my comfort zone. I want to try as many new events as I can, things I never pictured myself doing.
Biggest Thrill in Athletics: Competing is so fun, the rush of a race and the feeling of getting a personal best is amazing.
What differentiates you from teammates or other students (what makes you special and interesting)? I'm willing to step up at any moment and try something new and I love to help other people. My favorite thing to do in high school swimming was helping the newer/younger girls on the team with stroke, even if it meant sacrificing my time.
What is a little known fact about yourself? A little known fact about me is that I used to be a curler and my coach was a former Olympic curler.
Any interesting, non-athletic hobbies, talents or unusual facts about yourself? I love music - especially rock - and I play bass guitar. I am also a huge fan of Halloween and horror movies!
What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my parents. They've always been there for me (in and out of the pool) and how much they have done for my swimming career. They are my number one supporters and I will always be grateful for everything they have done for me, and what they continue to do for me.
