Auggie Athlete FAQs
Career Goal? My Career Goal is to play a professional sport. I am doing everything in my power to make sure my dream is a reality. I am pursuing a degree in Exercise science because if for some reason, which I doubt, I do not have a career in sports, I would love to work with athletes.
Why did I choose to attend Augsburg? A few of the main reasons were Augsburg University is a small and the most diverse school in the state. It was in the city and not too far away from home. I got recruited by my track and field coach, who told me all of the opportunities here at Augsburg, and how he could help me become successful. I decided to come also because what I wanted to study was offed at the school and I was going to be playing a sport. However, I can say what stood up the most in deciding to be a part of the Auggie family is the diversity. Being able to express oneself without been seen differently or intimidating helps includes everyone and provides a positive environment to learn. I wanted to be in this type of environment as I enter a different chapter of my life that requires hard work and dedication. Augsburg was just the right decision for me, mainly because of how the environment feels, and where it was.
Athletic Goal at Augsburg? This year my broad goal is to be at Nationals for Soccer and Track. My personal goal is to break the school track and field short spring record and also break the soccer team's most goal score in a single season.
Biggest Thrill in Athletics? Firstly, knowing Hard work beats talent. Secondly, I am always looking forward to being with my teammates. I love the environment. Lastly, Being able to work for what I want to accomplish.
What differentiates you from teammates or other students? Work ethics.
What is a little known fact about yourself? I am emotional. I love and feel for others way too quick.
Any interesting, non-athletic hobbies, talents or unusual facts about yourself? I love music. I have been singing in church as a lead singer for probably six years. I can see myself also pursuing a music career.
What are you most thankful for?  Life! Not everyone is alive today. I am thankful to God for keeping alive.
