Auggie Athlete FAQs
Career Goal:  I hope I end up doing something that feels meaningful to me– hopefully something in or adjacent to writing..
Why did I choose to attend Augsburg?  It was a pretty impulsive, but luckily fulfilling, decision. I was a bio major at UMN for two years, and it felt like I was slogging through academic pursuits that were not a good fit for me, personally. Upon touring Augsburg, it seemed like a much better fit for me, and I liked that it was close to or something of home.
Athletic Goal at Augsburg: I hope to improve as a runner, and carry over the hard work and consistency that's necessary for running into other areas of my life.
Biggest Thrill in Athletics: My biggest thrill in athletics was when I made it to state and was greeted with my teammates and coach with a big hug
What differentiates you from your teammates? Honestly, I hope not a lot. All of my teammates are great role models and people, and I hope I can find it in myself to be more like them. but that doesn't seem in the spirit of the question, so-- I can dislocate my shoulders.
What is a little-know fact about yourself? I worked in memory care at an assisted living facility and I always thought I would hate tapioca pudding. but, as it turns out, I do.
Any interesting, non-athletic hobbies, talents or unusual facts about yourself? I love languages, drawing, and writing. I have a pack of oil pastels that I bought a few years ago from goodwill and have since been used down to nubbins but realistically I don’t think the hobby will last longer than the nubbins do.
What are you most thankful for? My family, friends, and partner
