NICK WARD (TRACK AND FIELD)
MIAC outdoor, All-MIAC HM 2X … Won MIAC outdoor title in 100-meter dash (10.97 seconds) and placed 6th in long jump, while finishing 6th in indoor 55-meter dash at MIAC indoor championships … 100-meter title was first MIAC track title for Augsburg men since 2005 and 1 of only 2 MIAC men’s first-year athletes to win titles at MIAC outdoor meet.

TONY VALEK (WRESTLING)
NCAA Division III championships qualifier (141 pounds) … Placed third at Great Lakes Regional, but won “true second” match to qualify for national tournament … Lone first-year athlete among Augsburg’s nine national tournament qualifiers … Ranked No. 4 in nation during season … Went 1-2 at national tournament, with technical fall victory in opening match, to finish season 32-13 with 14 pins and three technical falls.
