2013 BASEBALL (24-15 overall, 11-9 in MIAC--3rd/11 in 2013; 24-15 overall, 10-10 in MIAC--t4th/11 in 2012) -- Augsburg’s 24-15 overall record in 2013 marked the fifth time that the Auggies have won 20 or more games in head coach Keith Bateman’s 10 seasons ... Augsburg baseball did improve its MIAC record to 11-9 which earned the Auggies a third-place conference finish and a spot in the MIAC Playoffs, where the team made it to the semifinals … Second baseman Lou LaChapelle was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division III All-Midwest Region Team as a third-team selection and also earned All-MIAC and MIAC All-Defensive Team honors …  Shortstop Adam Carl and first baseman Ryan Sward were also awarded All-MIAC honors … Pitcher Ryan Mestnik joined LaChapelle on the MIAC All-Defensive Team, and catcher Zach Pavlisick was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team … Centerfielder Gary Mariscal was named to the D3baseball.com All-Midwest Region Team as a third-team outfielder.

GOLF (6th/10 at MIAC Championships in 2012; 5th/10 at MIAC Championships in 2013) -- Under seventh-year head coach Ted Vickerman, Augsburg finished fifth at the 2013 MIAC Championships, its best conference meet finish since a third-place finish in the 2008 league meet, and a one-spot improvement over last year’s sixth-place finish… Brandon Jones placed third at the MIAC Championships and earned All-MIAC honors … His third-place MIAC finish was the best for an Auggie since 2008 … As a team, Augsburg finished the fall half of the 2013-14 season with a 309.9 team stroke average. Five Auggies finished with sub-80 stroke averages this fall, led by Jones at 76.3.

HOCKEY (8-14-3 overall, 7-8-2 in MIAC--6th/9 in 2012-13; 13-9-3 overall, 6-7-3 in MIAC--6th/9 in 2013-14) – Augsburg finished 13-9-3 overall, five more wins than in the 2012-13 season… Augsburg went 8-0-1 in its first nine games of the season and outscored its opponents by a 79-70 margin during the year … The Auggies also claimed a victory in the first-ever MIAC shootout… Augsburg finished sixth in the MIAC, just missing a spot in MIAC playoffs … Forward Mack Ohnsted and defender Chris Student earned All-MIAC honors, while Zach Dick was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

WRESTLING (6-6 overall, NCAA Division III West Regional champion, 10th at NCAA Division III National Championships in 2012-13; 8-5 overall, NCAA Division III West Regional champion,  5th at NCAA Division III National Championships in 2013-14) -- For the 27th straight year, Augsburg finished in the top 10 in national competition with a fifth-place national finish … Augsburg had two All-Americans, 125-pound national champion Mike Fuenffinger and heavyweight third-place finisher Chad Johnson, marking the 27th straight year that Augsburg has had at least two or more All-Americans … Augsburg won its regional competition for the 12th straight year with the West Regional victory, sending eight individuals to the national championships … Augsburg finished 8-5 on the season, including wins over Wisconsin-La Crosse, St. John’s and Wisconsin-Stevens Point late in the season.
