2013 BASEBALL (24-15 overall, 11-9 MIAC -- 3rd/11) -- Augsburg’s 24-15 overall record marked the fifth time that the Auggies have won 20 or more games in head coach Keith Bateman’s 10 seasons … Qualified for the MIAC Playoffs, where the team made it to the semifinals ...  Second baseman Lou LaChapelle was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division III All-Midwest Region Team as a third-team selection and also earned All-MIAC and MIAC All-Defensive Team honors … Shortstop Adam Carl and first baseman Ryan Sward were also awarded All-MIAC honors … Pitcher Ryan Mestnik joined LaChapelle on the MIAC All-Defensive Team, and catcher Zach Pavlisick was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team … Gary Mariscal, centerfielder, was named to D3baseball.com All-Midwest Region as a third-team outfielder.

BASKETBALL (18-8 overall, 14-6 MIAC -- 3rd/11) -- Augsburg finished third in the MIAC for fourth time in the nine years that Aaron Griess has been head coach … The Auggies made it back to the MIAC Playoffs for the third consecutive season (five out of the last six seasons) ...  Post player Dan Kornbaum was named MIAC Men’s Basketball Joe Hutton Player of the Year, All-MIAC, D3hoops.com All-West Region first team and NABC All-West District first team, D3hoops All-America second team, NABC Division III All-America second team, and was named to the 2014 Reese’s Division III College All-Star game … Andy Seidlitz and Noah Veach earned All-MIAC honors as well … Parker Hines received an All-MIAC honorable-mention.

FOOTBALL (5-5 overall, 3-5 MIAC -- 6th/9) – Augsburg finished 5-5 overall, 3-5 in MIAC play … In his ninth season as head coach, Frank Haege had 10 players receive All-MIAC honors … Hakeem Bourne-McFarlane, Ayrton Scott, Adam Carl, Joey Sonnenfeld, Chris DeVet, and Micahel Juberian earned first-team honors … Jerise Washington, Phil Putratz, Chad Thompson, and Felix Coleman earned second-team honors … Five Auggies were also named to D3football.com All-West Region teams: Bourne,McFarlane, Carl, Sonnenfeld, Thompson, and Juberian … Carl and Bourne-McFarlane also earned D3football.com All-American Team honors … Adam Carl, Chris DeVet, and Chad Thompson were named to the Capital One Academic All-District team … DeVet and Thompson also made the Capital One Academic All-American team.

WRESTLING (8-5 overall, NCAA Division III West Regional champion,  5th at NCAA Division III National Championships) – For the 27th straight year, Augsburg finished in the top 10 in national competition with a fifth-place national finish … Augsburg had two All-Americans, 125-pound national champion Mike Fuenffinger and heavyweight third-place finisher Chad Johnson, marking the 27th straight year that Augsburg has had at least two or more All-Americans … Augsburg won its regional competition for the 12th straight year with the West Regional victory, sending eight individuals to the national championships … Augsburg finished 8-5 on the season, including wins over Wisconsin-La Crosse, St. John’s and Wisconsin-Stevens Point late in the season.
