SAM BENNYHOFF (Wrestling) -- Finished 28-7 in 2015-16 with 6 pins, 3 technical falls and 6 major decisions … Won title at 133 pounds at NCAA West Regional, with major decision and technical fall, to qualify for NCAA Division III National Championships for first time … Went 1-2 at NCAA national meet … Won titles at four tournaments, including Auggie-Adidas Open (Silver division), Citrus Open, Saint John’s North Country Open and NCAA Regional, while finishing second at UW-Eau Claire Don Parker Open … Ranked as high as No. 7 in NWCA D-III poll during season.

LUKE DIETSCH (Hockey) -- Finished eighth on team in scoring with 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) … 13 assists were third-most on team … 13 assists were tied for 12th-most among MIAC players in overall statistics and second-most among MIAC rookies … 16 points were tied for third-most among MIAC rookies … Had a goal or assist in 15 of his 27 games … Had 2 assists in 5-2 MIAC playoff win over Hamline on Feb. 27 … Member of MIAC regular-season and playoff championship Auggie squad that advanced to NCAA Division III national playoffs.

EMMANUEL EGBUJOR (Indoor Track and Field) -- All-MIAC 2X (Indoor), All-MIAC Honorable Mention (indoor), NCAA All-America (indoor), USTFCCCA All-Region 3X (indoor)… Claimed two conference championships at MIAC indoor meet, winning the 200- (22.31 seconds) and 400-meter (49.20 seconds) dashes … 400-meter dash time was Carleton indoor facility record … Also No. 3 leg on 800-meter relay that finished second in 1:30.44 … Qualified for NCAA Division III National Championships in 60-meter dash, earning All-America honors with third-place finish (6.86 seconds) … Set school record in 60 in NCAA preliminaries (6.84 seconds) … Had top season time of 22.21 seconds in 200 … Earned three USTFCCCA All-Region honors (60, 200, 400).

DAKOTA KRECH (Golf) -- Augsburg’s No. 3 golfer in fall half of 2015-16 season, with 76.8 stroke average … Competed on main Augsburg squad in all five meets in the fall, including MIAC Championships … Finished in a tie for 19th at MIAC Championships with 230 (69-81-80), with his first-round 69 the lowest round shot by an Auggie this fall … Seven of his 12 rounds were sub-80s this fall … Recorded 7th-place finish at UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite on Sept. 13-14 … Member of 2015 MIAC Men’s Golf Championship team that will compete in NCAA Division III National Championships in May.
