HOCKEY (17-4-6 overall, 9-2-5 MIAC, MIAC playoff champions, NCAA Division III national playoff quarterfinalist) -- Augsburg finished as conference playoff champions for the second year in a row, finishing its fourth straight double-digit win season and seventh in the last eight seasons … Augsburg’s 17 wins tied last year’s squad for the most wins for the Auggies since the 1997-98 season … Augsburg secured the playoff championship with an overtime win over Saint Mary’s and a 3-2 win at top-seed St. Thomas … Augsburg outscored its opponents by a 109-75 margin, the top scoring offense and second-best defense in the MIAC … Augsburg also led the MIAC in both power play percentage (22.9) and penalty kill percentage (86.7) … Forwards Corbin Chapman and Nate Flynn, goalie Nick Schmit and defender Rory Vesel earned All-MIAC honors … Vesel and Flynn were named to the AHCA Division III All-America squad … Chris Nuth was named the MIAC’s Elite 22 Award-winner, honoring student-athlete academic excellence.
WRESTLING (11-2 overall, NCAA Division III West Regional champion, 2nd at NCAA DIII National Championships) -- Augsburg won the NCAA Division III West Regional and qualified eight wrestlers, including five first-year wrestlers, to the NCAA Division III National Championships, its 15th straight NCAA regional title … Finishing second at the national tournament Augsburg claimed its 35th top-five national tournament finish in school history, earning five All-Americans -- heavyweight Donny Longendyke who was a national runner-up, 184-pound Owen Webster placed third, 141-pound David Flynn also placed third, Lucas Jeske (165) placed third, Victor Gliva (125) placed eighth … Augsburg went 11-2 in dual meets, including a second-place finish at the NWCA Division III National Duals … Augsburg also finished second in the NWCA’s Scholar All-America Team standings with a 3.46 GPA, including nine individual Scholar All-Americans.

SOCCER (18-5 overall, 8-3-0 MIAC, MIAC playoff champion, NCAA playoff second round) -- Augsburg claimed the MIAC playoff championship in 2016, qualifying for postseason play for the fourth time in the last five years and the eighth time in program history … It’s the fifth straight year they have finished with double-digit wins … First year Ashley St. Aubin was named MIAC Rookie of the Year, one of six Auggies to earn end-of-season honors: Marta Anderson (All-MIAC), Carter Denison (All-MIAC), Emily Gregg (All-MIAC), Ciara Gregory (All-MIAC HM) and Trine Boeystad (All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team) … Emily Gregg also garnered NSCAA Division III All-America second-team honors, the third NSCAA All-America honor in program history … Gregg was also named to the D3soccer.com All-America third team … Gregg and Anderson were also named to the NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region first team and Scholar All-America first and third teams, respectively … Augsburg claimed a 1-0 win over St. Thomas in the MIAC championship match and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament.

SOCCER (2016: 8-10 overall, 4-4-2 MIAC, MIAC playoff semifinalist; 2015: 6-10-2 overall, 3-6-1 MIAC) -- Went 4-1-1 in last six games to earn a spot in the conference playoffs for the first time since 2011 … Goalkeeper Clark Page was named MIAC Athlete of the Week following their 2-1 victory over St. Olaf, which secured their fifth MIAC postseason playoff berth in school history … The Auggies then went on to beat the No. 1 team in the MIAC, St. Thomas, 2-0 … Forward Bobby Kohl, forward Lionel Vang, midfielder Ebesa Hamid, and defender Barinedum Kordah were awarded All-MIAC honors … Midfielder Peyton Boich was named All-MIAC Honorable Mention while Ben Henry was named to the All- MIAC Sportsmanship team.
