17042BASKETBALL (22-5 overall, 16-2 MIAC, MIAC playoff finalist) -- Augsburg recorded its best season in varsity program history (since 1972-72), setting both overall and MIAC school records. The Auggies finished second in the MIAC standings -- its best league finish ever -- earning a spot in the MIAC postseason playoffs for the third time in the past five seasons and reaching the conference playoff championship game for the first time in school history. Augsburg also earned its first-ever national ranking, being ranked No. 24 in the final D3hoops.com ranking of the regular season. Head coach Ted Riverso was named the MIAC’s Coach of the Year, while guard Aiza Wilson was named MIAC Sixth Player of the Year. Guard Tamira McLemore earned All-MIAC first-team honors for her third straight year, and was named to the D3hoops.com All-West Regional second-team for the second time. Arianna Jones was also an All-MIAC first-team honoree, while Carlee Kobow was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team. Kobow was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.
15692HOCKEY (14-7-5 overall, 9-4-5 MIAC, MIAC playoff semifinalist) -- Augsburg reached the MIAC postseason playoffs for the fourth year in a row, which is the most consecutive in program history. It was also the fourth year in a row that Augsburg has recorded 13 or more overall wins. Defender Nikki Nightengale earned All-MIAC honors and was named to the AHCA Division III All-America Team as a West Region second-team honoree. Forward Megan Johnson earned the MIAC’s Sheila Brown Award, the conference’s top senior student-athlete award, based on four criteria -- team leadership, sportsmanship and volunteer work, academic excellence and hockey skills/production -- as well as being an All-MIAC honoree. Forward Bridget Wagner earned All-MIAC honors while defenders Valerie Whichello and Mackenzie Molnar received All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors. Goalie McKenna Manalli was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.
15271SOCCER (14-7 overall, 8-3 MIAC, MIAC playoff finalist) -- For the seventh straight year, Augsburg claimed double-digit victories, and for the fifth straight year earned eight or more conference wins. The Auggies reached the MIAC playoffs for the fifth straight year and the sixth time in the last seven years, making the conference final for the fourth time in seven years. Forward Ashley St. Aubin earned All-MIAC honors for the third straight year, and earned All-America honors for the second straight year. St. Aubin also claimed United Soccer Coaches D-III All-North Region first-team, D3soccer.com All-American team, Google Cloud (CoSIDA) Academic All-District and Google Cloud (CoSIDA) Academic All-America honors. Defender Jada Olson claimed a spot on the All-MIAC squad. Forwards Gabriela Encarnacion and Jessy Wiskofske were named All-MIAC Honorable Mention, and defender Kate Johnston was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team. Goalkeeper Emily Chapman was also named to the United Soccer Coaches D-III All-North Region first-team.
15368VOLLEYBALL (22-9 overall, 7-4 MIAC, MIAC semifinalist, NCAA playoff participant) -- Augsburg reached its fourth-ever NCAA Division III national tournament, its third appearance since 2013. Augsburg has recorded 16-plus wins in each of the last 11 seasons, with this season’s 22 overall wins being the most since the 2014 campaign. The Auggies have reached the MIAC playoffs in seven of the last 10 years. Libero Macey Terhell earned All-MIAC honors for the third straight year, while setter Morgan Malley and middle blocker Corrina Evans each earned All-MIAC honors for the second straight year. Terhell and Malley both also earned AVCA All-Central Region honors and were both named AVCA All-America Honorable Mention. Defensive specialist Stephanie Hechsel was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.
