NINA MAKEM (Wrestling) 
NCWWC All-American, NCWWC Northwest Regional champion … Finished 29-6 with 17 technical falls and 3 pins this season … Finished as national runner-up at 136 pounds at 2022 NCWWC National Championships (NCAA-affiliated schools), going 3-1 with a 47-second pin in her opening match … Went 10-4 against nationally-ranked wrestlers this season … Had 12 first-period technical falls, including 4 that took less than 1 minute … Won tournament titles at Waldorf (Iowa) Open and NCWWC Northwest Regional.

HOCKEY
(25-5 overall, 14-2 MIAC, MIAC playoff finalist, MIAC regular-season champions, NCAA playoff semifinalist)  

Augsburg recorded its second-most wins in a season in school history at 25-0-0, behind the 1981-82 NAIA national champion Auggies, which went 28-1-1. The Auggies advanced to the NCAA D-III national tournament semifinals, after defeating St. Norbert 4-1 in the NCAA quarterfinals and winning the MIAC regular-season championship. It is the third time that Augsburg has appeared in the national semifinals in program history. Augsburg appeared in the MIAC postseason playoffs for its seventh consecutive full-season and 20th time in program history. Austin Koss was named as the recipient of the NCAA Elite 90 Award, as the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average at the NCAA championships. Austin Martinsen and Mason Palmer were both named to the CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-America Team, and Augsburg head coach Greg May was named as one of 12 finalists for the AHCA's Edward Jeremiah Award, presented to the NCAA Divisions II/III National Coach of the Year. Martinsen was named to the West Region All-America First Team as a forward, while Palmer earned West Region All-America Second Team honors as a defender. Martinsen was also named MIAC Player of the Year and to the All-USCHO Division III First Team, while May was named MIAC Coach of the Year. Seven Auggies earned All-MIAC honors – Martinsen, Palmer, Fritz Belisle, Jarod Blackowiak, Austin Dollimer, Gavin Holland, Patrick O’Connor and Jack Robbel. Samuel Vyletelka was named to the MIAC All-Rookie Team. Logan Kons and Nick Woodward were each named All-MIAC Honorable Mentions.

BASKETBALL
(21-6 overall, 19-2 MIAC, MIAC playoff finalist, MIAC regular-season champions)
Augsburg earned its best MIAC record in varsity program history, with a .905 winning percentage, while also claiming its first MIAC regular-season title in program history.  The Auggies both surpassed the 20-win mark and made the MIAC playoff championship game for the third time in program history, all within Ted Riverso’s time at the helm of the program. Riverso was named MIAC Coach of the Year. Jen Masello was named MIAC Player of the Year (the first Augsburg women’s basketball player to win that award), earned All-MIAC and All-MIAC Defensive Team honors, and was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team. Selena Lor and Anja Smith also earned All-MIAC honors, while Smith was also named MIAC Sixth Player of the Year. Jaley Coplin and Kalena Myers were named All-MIAC Honorable Mention.

Augsburg won the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional -- its 19th straight NCAA regional title -- qualifying individuals in seven weight classes, winning three regional titles. With its seven national tournament qualifiers, Augsburg has had seven or more national tournament qualifiers in 18 of the last 19 seasons. Augsburg finished tied for third place at the D-III Nationals. Four Auggies earned All-American honors – Tyler Shilson (157 pounds) finished in third place, Tyler Kim (285 pounds) finished in fourth place, Solomon Nielsen (174 pounds) finished in fifth place and Bentley Schwanebeck-Ostermann (197 pounds) finished in sixth place.
