HONORING CLAIR STROMMEN '46
In 2002, the tournament was named in honor of Clair Strommen, Class of 1946. Clair was a standout student-athlete and was inducted into the Augsburg Athletic Hall of Fame in 1977. He served as the chairman and CEO of Lutheran Brotherhood, was a member of the Augsburg Board of Regents, and was a highly respected leader of the A-Club. He was honored by Augsburg in 1980 as a Distinguished Alumnus, and again in 2001, when his family was honored with the Distinguished Service Award.
