A key reserve defender throughout her career, Grace Dickerson overcame a potential career-ending medical diagnosis last spring to return to the pitch midway through the season. She ended up playing in 15 games, starting 9, and played 1,010 minutes, with full 90-minute efforts in eight of her last nine games.

Henry Nelson was injured in a severe car crash in the spring of 2023, and spent the following summer re-learning how to talk. Remarkably, he returned to full strength, and ran in 16 cross country races over his final three seasons and nearly every track and field meet as a distance specialist.

Ella Olson tore her ACL early in her sophomore season, but made a remarkable recovery to get back on the ice. She competed in the last 15 games of last season and all 27 games this year, one of the top forwards on an Auggie squad that made back-to-back NCAA national tournament appearances. She finished this season second on the team in scoring, with 12 goals and 23 points.

Six games into her first season as Augsburg’s starting point guard, Evelyn Perkins suffered a torn PCL, an injury that normally takes at least three months to heal. She returned to the court in just 10 weeks, playing in the final seven games of the season, never missing a practice or rehab session, while serving as a dedicated captain and leader.

After a devastating ACL tear that required two surgeries at the end of the 2023-24 season, Isaac Rabaey made his return to the court for his final season of eligibility, starting 26 of 27 games this season as a dominant post presence, leading the Auggies in field-goal percentage and providing veteran leadership for an Auggie squad that won 17 games and made the conference playoff semifinals.
