Jason Moden (Minnesota '97) enters his second season as a football assistant coach at Augsburg in 2021, and 27th season overall. Moden works with the Auggies' special teams and defensive line.

Previous Coaching Experience: 
Moden has served as an assistant head coach/special teams coordinator and coached multiple position groups. He coached on head coach Derrin Lamker's staffs at Edina (2016-19) and Osseo (2006-15, 1997-2002) High Schools, while also coaching at Minnetonka (2003-05) and Roseville (1996), and at the youth level in Minneapolis (1993-95).

Moden has coached and mentored countless players who have gone on to have successful collegiate careers. Many of his former players are in the Minnesota all-time record books in various special teams categories.  Moden has been a part of two Minnesota large school championships (Osseo 2015 and Minnetonka 2004), coached in the Minnesota High School All Star Game (2014). He received the Minnesota Football Coaches Association's Butch Nash Award (2014) in recognition of outstanding assistant coaches. Moden has also presented at multiple coaching clinics in the Midwest. 

Personal/Family Notes:
Moden has been a social studies teacher for more than 20 years at Osseo High School. He received his bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Minnesota in 1997, and his master's degree in education from Minnesota in 2007.

He and his wife Jessica have three daughters, Josie, Janie and Julia.
