Jason Potts (Augsburg '09) enters his second season as a member of the Augsburg football staff in 2013. A standout running back during his playing career at Augsburg, Potts is currently serving as a graduate fellow in the Augsburg Athletic Department.
Playing Career/Acheivements:
Potts was a four-year member of the Augsburg football program where he rushed for over 1,400 career yards and scored 15 touchdowns. During his senior season, Potts earned All MIAC second-team honors after recording 745 all-purpose yards and scoring seven touchdowns for an Augsburg team that finished the season with a 5-5 record. Potts was also selected to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship team following his senior year.
In his collegiate career, Potts rushed for 1,483 yards on 351 carries with 15 touchdowns, while catching 122 passes for 941 yards and two scores, producing 2,764 all-purpose yards (69.1 yards per-game).
Personal/Family Notes:
A native of Plymouth, Minn., Potts has spent the previous two years as health and physical eduation teacher at Osseo and Cooper High Schools. Potts is currently pursuing a master of arts in education degree at Augsburg.
