Matt Howard (Wisconsin-Stout ‘03) returns to the Augsburg staff for his fourth stint as a volunteer assistant coach, guiding the outside linebackers. Howard previously served as a defensive backs coach from 2005-07 for the Auggies, and returned in 2008.
Prior to coming to Augsburg, Howard worked as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stout (2001-04), coaching the defensive backs and coordinating film and scouting reports. While at Wisconsin-Stout, Howard completed his undergraduate degree in marketing and business education, as well as his master’s degree in training and human resource development.
A native of New Hope, Minn., Howard, his wife Jaimee and their son Jackson live in Robbinsdale, Minn.
