Shawn Anderson (North Texas '01) enters his first year as an Augsburg football volunteer assistant coach, working with the outside linebackers. A collegiate defensive back at Division I North Texas, Anderson has been active as a football coach for a decade, serving as an assistant coach at White Bear Lake, Tartan and Forest Lake high schools, and as head coach for two minor league football programs (Minnesota Sting, Minnesota Valley Warriors) and an indoor league team (Minnesota Havok, 2016). He's also served as a defensive coordinator for the All-American Bowl, an all-star game, for four years. Anderson is a substitute teacher in the Twin Cities area.
