Why did I choose to attend Augsburg? I chose to attend Augsburg because I love the diverse welcoming community of students and staff that make this school so great. My sister attended this school and fell in love with it for many of the same reasons including the wonderful study abroad program that I am heavily interested in later in my academic years. Also considering this school is in the same city of where I have grown up all my life, I will be able to stay close to my family and friends, all of which who have been a significant contributor in the successes I have had in life as a student and athlete.
Athletic Goal at Augsburg? My athletic goal at Augsburg is to one day be remembered as a successful athlete who was a key contributor in changing the culture and perception around Auggie sports.
Biggest Thrill in Athletics? In all my years of experience in playing sports, there is no bigger thrill than scoring a touchdown in a football game. In that very moment you feel on top of the world and there is no greater rush of adrenaline and excitement than being able to celebrate that with your teammates as it pushes your team to fight towards the ultimate goal. To win!
What differentiates you from teammates or other students? One thing that separates me from the rest of my peers, whether it be on the field or in the classroom, is my pure will and determination to accomplish anything I put my mind to. As an undersized athlete, I have grown up having to out work and believe in myself even when no one believes in me. In doing so, I have distilled a tremendous hard working and self determination attitude that has driven me to succeed in anything I do.
What are you most thankful for? I am most thankful for my friends and family. Without them, I would definitely not be the person who I am today. They have pushed and motivated me in every aspect of my life, especially sports. Often times when I feel like giving up, my family gives me strength to dig deeper. To bring myself to another level, which has ultimately made me and led me into the wonderful position I am in life today.
