Brian Jungwirth (Augsburg '09) enters his third season as an assistant men's basketball coach. Jungwirth was a two-sport athlete who participated in soccer and basketball during his four-year playing career at Augsburg. In addition to assisting with the varsity program, Jungwirth coaches the Augsburg JV program.

Playing Career/Achievements:
Jungwirth was a four-year member of the Augsburg men's soccer team as a forward, and was part of teams that went 41-25-12, made the MIAC postseason playoffs twice, and qualified for the NCAA Division Three national tournament his senior season. In his collegiate career, Jungwirth participated in 52 games, including 12 starts.

Jungwirth was also a member of the Augsburg men's basketball team for four seasons. During his four-year career, Jungwirth and the Auggies improved their winning percentage four consecutive years. During his senior season, Augsburg recorded the programs first MIAC playoff victory, a 65-64 defeat over Carleton College, since the 1998-99 season.

Personal/Family Notes:
A native of Bloomington, Minn., Jungwirth recently completed his master's degree in sports administration/management from the University of Minnesota. He is also an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, who currently works as a personal trainer in Minneapolis. A math and psychology double major, Jungwirth currently resides in Bloomington, Minn.
