Charlie Scott (Augsburg '07, MAL '15) enters his 16th season on staff and 20th overall at Augsburg for the 2022-23 season. Scott has been involved as a member of the Augsburg men's basketball program since 2003. First as a student-athlete from 2003-07, then a part-time assistant coach from 2007-13, before taking over as the program's head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, a role he maintained for seven seasons. Ahead of the 2022-23 season, Scott took on a new role as a part-time assistant coach for the program. 

Augsburg Coaching Highlights:
Scott has helped guide the Auggies to six-consecutive playoff appearances. During his tenure as recruiting coordinator, Scott has helped matriculate student-athletes who earned 25 conference awards; including four MIAC Player of the Year and All-American honors, and one Division III National Player of the Year. His first recruiting class had an enormous impact on the Augsburg record books, becoming the first basketball conference playoff champions in school history.

Playing Experience/Achievements:
On the basketball court, as a four-year guard with the Auggies (2003-07), Scott appeared in 76 Augsburg games, averaging 6.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per-game. He connected on 87 three-pointers in his career, and served as team captain during his senior season starting all 25 games for head coach Aaron Griess. In high school, Scott averaged over 25 points a game his junior and senior seasons finishing with 1,596 points in his career.

Personal/Family Notes:
A native of Ely, Minn. Scott and his wife Megan currently reside in New Brighton, Minn. with their daughters Caroline and Catherine Cody. Scott completed graduate work for his Master of Arts in Leadership from Augsburg in June of 2015.
