Avery Sawchuk

One of the best women's golfers in Augsburg history, Avery Sawchuk (Augsburg '25) joined the Auggie men's and women's golf coaching staff as a graduate fellow assistant coach in the fall of 2025.

Sawchuk finished her collegiate career holding the school record for scoring average, with a 83.15 average in 55.5 rounds (4,615 strokes) from 2020-25. Her four season stroke averages are all in the top seven season averages in program history, with her 81.47 average in 2024-25 second-best.

Sawchuk became the fifth Auggie women's golfer to earn All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors, when she finished in a tie for 10th place at the 2024-25 MIAC Championships, breaking her old 54-hole school record with a 236 total. In 30 career events, Sawchuk had nine top-10 finishes, five top-five finishes and one medalist honor, with a .642 (1,185-660) career win-loss percentage.

Sawchuk earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from Augsburg in 2025, and is currently working toward her master's degree at Augsburg.
