Former University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey player, Jarrad Vroman, joined the Augsburg University men's hockey coaching staff as the program's full-time assistant ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Playing Experience
Vroman was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's ice hockey program for four seasons, scoring a total of six goals with 19 assists for 25 points as a defenseman for the Blugolds. Throughout his time with the team, he helped the Blugolds to two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles in 2020 and 2022. Following his time with the Blugolds, Vroman spent one season playing professional hockey with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL, helping the team to its first President's Cup Championship. Prior to college, Vroman played youth hockey for Belle Tire AAA Hockey in Detroit, Michigan.
Coaching Experience
Vroman brings a wide variety of coaching experience, having previously worked in instructional roles for the Eau Claire Youth Hockey Association, XHockey, MAP/FHIT Hockey, and the Detroit Ice Dreams Nonprofit. While volunteering with the Detroit Ice Dreams, the program received the NHL's Wille O'Ree Community Hero Award.
Personal Notes
A native of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Vroman received his bachelor's degree with a major in business management and a minor in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in May of 2022.
