Tim Lawson (Augsburg '08) joined the Augsburg men's hockey coaching staff as an assistant coach in the 2023-24 season.
A native of Monument, Colo. (Lewis-Palmer HS), Lawson appeared in 53 games in his Augsburg career (2004-08) as a forward, scoring two goals with seven assists for nine points. He earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from Augsburg in 2009, and his Master's of Business Administration from Augsburg in 2015. He was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a Dean's List honoree in his Augsburg undergraduate days.
He has worked in collegiate admissions since 2015, first at Rasmussen College in the Twin Cities, and since 2021 at Augsburg. He is currently an Associate Director of Admissions, working as a first-year and transfer counselor.
He worked as an assistant coach (junior varsity) for the Academy of Holy Angels HS hockey team from 2013-20, and as an assistant coach (hockey operations) at Osseo HS from 2021-24.
