Jim Rennie (Alabama-Huntsville '86) joins the Augsburg men's soccer coaching staff for his first season in 2018. Rennie has more than 20 years of experience in soccer coaching at the youth and high school levels. He currently serves as the head coach for the Fusion Soccer Club Men's U-18 Premier team in the Twin Cities, and previously served as a boys' youth coach for the Wayzata Soccer Club (1999-2010) and as a men's DA goalkeeper coach for the Minnesota Thunder Academy (2009-12).
Rennie played collegiate soccer at Division I Alabama-Huntsville (1983-86), serving as team captain. He has U.S. Soccer Federation F, E, D and C licensure, along with a Goalkeeping Level II diploma and Introduction to Grassroots Coaching license.
He earned his bachelor's degree in business and marketing from Alabama-Huntsville in 1986, and his master's of business administration degree from St. Thomas in 2015.
