A former St. Cloud State University women's basketball player and coach, Caitlyn Peterson joined the Augsburg University women's basketball coaching staff as the program's full-time assistant coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Coaching Experience
Peterson spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at her alma mater, St. Cloud State University, where she helped coach the Huskies to a 17-10 overall record and 14-8 mark in conference play. Peterson also coached a pair of local youth teams, serving as an assistant coach for both North Tartan and the Minnesota Comets for two summers.
Playing Experience
Peterson played for NCAA Division II St. Cloud State University for five seasons, helping the Huskies to five consecutive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament Appearances, including an NSIC Tournament title in 2020. Appearing in 99 career games and making 18 starts fpr the Huskies, Peterson scored 382 points and pulled down 323 rebounds in her career. Peterson was named team captain in her final two seasons with the Huskies, and received the Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award during the 2020-2021 campaign.
Personal Notes
A native of Lakeville, Minn., Peterson graduated from St. Cloud State with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2021, and received a master's in higher education and administration in 2023.
