Former Augsburg men's golfer Brandon Jones (Augsburg '16) joined the men's and women's golf coaching staff in 2023 as a volunteer assistant coach.
Jones was a two-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference golfer in his Auggie career, finishing in third place at the 2013-14 conference championships with a 224 total in 2013 and in 11th place in at the 2014-15 championships with a 229 total. He earned All-MIAC honors in 2014-15 on a vote of conference coaches. He was a part of Augsburg's 2015-16Â MIAC championship team, which competed at the NCAA Division III National Championships in 2016.
In 81 collegiate career rounds (2012-16), Jones finished with a 76.85 career stroke average (6,225 strokes), currently eighth-best in the modern history of Augsburg men's golf (since 1994-95). His 75.09 season stroke average in 2015-16 is seventh-best in program history.
Jones earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2016, and currently works as a physical therapist assistant at Twin Cities Orthopedics.
