Matt Anderson (Minnesota '03) has served as an assistant coach for the Augsburg men's and women's golf teams since 2014. Anderson was a key member of the 2002 Gophers team that won the Big Ten championship and the NCAA national championship, earning PING All-American honors. In 2003, Anderson won the Big Ten individual title, another Big Ten team championship, earned PING All-Region and Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar honors. Playing in 75 career rounds as a Gopher, Anderson finished with a 73.88 career stroke average, good for 12th-best in school history. After college he traveled and played full time for several years on the Hooters, Nationwide, Tar Heel, Gateway and Dakota Tours. Anderson is a native of Edina, Minn.
