Taylor Tvedt

Taylor Tvedt (Lehigh '17) enters her third season on the Augsburg women's lacrosse coaching staff in the 2019-20 school year, serving as an assistant in 2019-20 after being the graduate fellow from 2017-2019.

Previous Coaching Experience
Tvedt has served as a coach for youth and high school lacrosse players for the past four years, most recently serving as the Minnesota Lakers Select co-head coach for elite high school players. She has also coached at several camps, and was an assistant coach for the Cretin-Derham Hall High School girls' lacrosse team in 2015.

Playing Experience/Achievements
Tvedt competed collegiately at Division I Lehigh (Pa.), where she was a three-year starting goalie. A three-time Patriot League Defender of the Week, Tvedt finished her career with an 8.43 goals-against-average, 90 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers, and helped her team improve from a 9-7 record her sophomore year to a 12-5 record her junior year and 12-6 record her senior year. Lehigh reached the Patriot League tournament each of her four seasons, eventually reaching the No. 3 seed her senior year, when she ranked 11th nationally in save percentage (.494).

A native of Apple Valley, Minn., Tvedt was a three-year captain, four-time all-conference and three-time all-state goalie at Eastview High School, and still owns the school's single-season girls' lacrosse records for saves and save percentage. She also played four years on the girls' hockey team, serving as a captain one year. She was Eastview's Female Athlete of the Year in 2013.

Personal Notes
Tvedt received her bachelor's degree in sociology, with minors in Africana studies and political science, from Lehigh in 2017. While at Lehigh, she was a campus ambassador for the school's chapter of the national organization Athlete Ally, a program committed to creating a more respectful and inclusive environment within the athletic department. She also served as an intern in collaboration with Lehigh's LGBT Center and Athletics' Department Leadership Academy, and was a student representative for the Lehigh Inclusion and Diversity Team.

Tvedt earned a M.A. degree in Leadership from Augsburg in 2019.
