Millie York (Georgia College '17) is in her second season on the Augsburg University women's soccer coaching staff as a graduate fellow in 2018, while she pursues her master's degree in leadership at Augsburg.
A defender, York played collegiately in the United States, at Barton Community College (Kansas, 2013-14) before transferring to Georgia College (2015-16), an NCAA Division II program in Milledgeville, Ga. At Barton, she earned all-conference and all-region honors. She started all 34 games she played in during her two seasons at Georgia College, earning Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar recognition and All-Academic Team honors in 2016-17.
A native of Hove, England, she was a community football coach in her home area, and since coming to the United States, has worked as a coach at various levels in both Kansas and Georgia. She also spent part of 2015 as a women's soccer instructor for the Arsenal Academy in Sevilla, Spain.
York earned her associate's degree in liberal studies (physical education) from Barton in 2015, and her bachelor's degree in community health (health education) from Georgia College in 2017.
