Blake Bendix (Carthage ’11) enters his fourth season on the Augsburg women's swimming and diving coaching staff, and first as co-head coach, in the 2022-23 campaign.
Prior to Augsburg, Bendix was the assistant boys swim coach at Highland Park/SPA from 2013-18 where he coached an NISCA All-American and led the team to break 13 school records. In 2015, Bendix served as the assistant at Cretin-Derham Hall and from 2016-2018 was the head girls swim coach at St. Paul Central where he coached the team to break four school records. In addition to his scholastic coaching, he also coached at club level from 2016-18 for the Minnesota Flyers leading their age group program under program director Scott Tripps.
As a collegiate student-athlete, Bendix swam at Carthage College where he was a four-time All-CCIW honoree. He achieved 12 NCAA 'B' cut times and earned a trip to the NCAA Division III national championships in 2011.
Bendix joined the Augsburg coaching staff in 2019 to work with head coach Lindsay Mikkelson, who has had experience building and coaching national level athletes.
