Mike Neufeld (St. Olaf College '14) will enter his first season as a member of the Augsburg women's swimming and diving coaching staff in 2014-15. A former division III men's varsity swimmer, Neufeld is currently serving as a graduate fellow in the Augsburg Athletic Department.

Previous Coaching Experience: 
Served as a coach and counselor at St. Olaf's swimming camp, and has served as an instructor at the Making Waves Swim School in Northfield, Minn., since 2011.

Playing Career/Acheivements:
Neufeld recently graduated from St. Olaf College, where he competed for four seasons on the swimming and diving team. A team co-captain in 2013-14, Neufeld earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Team honors in his senior campaign. Neufeld primarily competed in distance freestyle events for the Oles. At this season's MIAC Championships, Neufeld finished ninth in the 1,650-yard freestyle, 12th in the 500-yard freestyle and 17th in the 200-yard freestyle, part of an Ole squad that captured the MIAC men's title for the second straight year and fifth time in an eight-year span.

Personal/Family Notes:
A native of Mankato Minn., Neufeld graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Neufeld is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education at Augsburg.
