Rylee Forshee (Bethel '20), a former defensive specialist at Bethel University, joined the Augsburg coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach ahead of the 2023 season.
A native of Eyota, Minn., Forshee played five years at Bethel University. In her fifth season with the Royals, Forshee helped the team to its first MIAC regular season title since 2001, also securing an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Following her playing career, Forshee spent time as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she specialized in floor defense, serve-receive, serving strategy, and working with pin hitters. Forshee also brings coaching experience from work with MN Select Volleyball where she assisted for five seasons, working with multiple ages and divisions of teams and athletes.
While working with the volleyball team, Forshee will pursue a master's degree in social work.
