Justin Koob has been a key member of the Augsburg Wrestling coaching staff since 2017.

Augsburg Coaching Highlights:

• Helped guide the Auggies to a #1 national ranking prior to the NCAA Division III national championships being cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic
• Helped guide the Auggies to the 2019 NCAA Division III team national championship
• Part of the staff that led the Auggies to a second-place team finish at the 2018 NCAA Division III national championships

Previous Coaching Experience:
Assistant Wrestling Coach – Centennial HS (2012-17) – Koob’s Centennial teams qualified for the team state tournament three times. He also coached 12 individual state place winners, three state finalists, and an individual state champion.
Head Coach: Minnesota/USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle National Team (2017-Present)             
 
Playing Experience/Achievements:
Koob wrestled competitively at Augsburg from 2008-2012 where he was a member of the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship team and the 2009, 2011 & 2012 national runner-up teams.
 
Personal/Family Notes:
A native of New Ulm, Minn., Koob resides in Minneapolis. Koob graduated from Augsburg in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
