Augsburg Men's Wrestling Associate Head Coach
Jim Moulsoff has coached 70 individual All-Americans, 14 individual NCAA National Champions, and 65 NWCA Scholar All-Americans. During his Augsburg tenure, the Auggies have never placed out of the top 10 nationally and have won the NCAA D-III National Championship three times (2010, 2015 & 2019). Moulsoff was named the NCAA Division III National Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2019 and has been named the NCAA Region Coach of the year in every season he has served as head coach.
Augsburg Coaching Highlights:
2019-20 – Led Augsburg to a #1 ranking nationally going into the NCAA Division III national championships which were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight individuals were recognized as NWCA First-Team All-Americans which was the most in the country. The Auggies finished in 9th-place in the NWCA Academic Team national standings with nine Scholar All-Americans. Victor Gliva was named the Elite 90 Award winner as the wrestler with the highest GPA at the National Championships for a record third year in a row.
2018-19 – Led Augsburg to the program’s 13
th NCAA Division III national team championship with seven All-Americans and four individual national champions. Moulsoff was named the NCAA DIII National Coach of the Year. The Auggies also finished in 18
th-place in the NWCA Academic Team national standings with six Scholar All-Americans. Victor Gliva was named the Elite 90 Award winner as the wrestler with the highest GPA at the National Championships for the second year in a row.
2017-18 – Led Augsburg to the NWCA National Duals Championship and a team national runner-up finish at the NCAA DIII National Championships with five individual All-Americans and two individual national champions. Lucas Jeske was named Outstanding wrestler of the National Championships. The Auggies also finished in 4
th place in the NWCA academic team national standings with eight scholar All-Americans. Victor Gliva was named the Elite 90 Award winner as the wrestler with the highest GPA at the National Champions.
2016-17 – Led Augsburg to a team national runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships with five individual All-Americans, four of which were first-year wrestlers. The Auggies also finished as NWCA Academic Team National Runner-Up, while recording the most NWCA Scholar All-Americans (nine) of any Division III institution.
2015-16 – Led Augsburg to a fifth place finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships with four individual All-Americans. The Auggies also finished in 10th-place in the NWCA academic team national standings with four Scholar All-Americans.
2014-15 – Led Augsburg to the program’s 12th NCAA Division III national team championship in his first year as head coach with six individual All-Americans and two individual national champions. Moulsoff was named the NWCA Dave Icenhower National Coach of the Year. The Auggies also finished in 14th-place in the NWCA Academic Team national standings with five NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
2007-14 – As an assistant coach, Moulsoff coached 35 individual All-Americans, six individual National Champions, and 24 Scholar All-Americans. He also helped coach the 2010 NCAA National Championship team and three National Runner-Up teams.

Moulsoff wrestled competitively at the North Dakota State College of Science from 1981-83.
Other Duties/Campus Involvement at Augsburg:
Moulsoff serves as the Director of the James Haglund Family Fitness and Recreation Center in the Augsburg Athletic Department.
