Precious (Bell) Wieser (Menlo '20) joined the Augsburg women’s wrestling team as an assistant coach in the 2022-23 school year.
A native of Lancaster, Calif., Wieser competed collegiately at Menlo College (Calif.) earning All-American honors four times, finishing second at 170 pounds at the 2019 NAIA national tournament, while finishing fourth at the 2019 WCWA national tournament and fifth at the 2018 WCWA nationals. She also earned NCWA All-American first-team honors in the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season, earning Outstanding Wrestler honors at the 2020 Cascade College Conference Championships. She was a member of Menlo teams that won both the NAIA and WCWA national titles in 2019.
Wieser has also shined on the national and international stages. She has claimed three USA Wrestling Senior Nationals titles, incluidng the 2023 crown at 76 kg. She won the U.S. Open title in 2019 and 2020, and won the 2019 U23 World Team Trials and World Team Trials Challenge tournament titles.
