Women's Soccer 10/7/00 -- Augsburg 2, Hamline 1 (OT)
ST. PAUL, Minn. (10/7/00) --
Brenda Selander * (Sr., Oakdale, Minn./Tartan HS) scored the game-winning goal four minutes into overtime, as Augsburg College claimed a 2-1 victory over host Hamline University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer game Saturday afternoon.
Augsburg, now 5-6 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC, broke a three-game losing streak with the victory. Hamline drops to 4-6-1 overall and 1-5 in the MIAC.
Selander's goal, her second of the year, came on an assist from
Stacy Waterman (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) and gave Augsburg its first overtime victory of the season.
Heidi Hilleren (Fr., Duluth, Minn./East HS) had the other Auggie goal, an unassisted tally in the 61st minute.
Hamline tied the game and forced the overtime on a goal from Colleen McKee (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) in the 75th minute, off an assist from Jessica Lum (Fr., Idaho Falls, Idaho).

Augsburg hosts Northland (Wis.) in a nonconference game Monday (10/9) at 4 p.m. at Anderson-Nelson Field. Hamline travels to Macalester Monday at 7:30 p.m.
